Classic ASP Developer – Hammersmith
I have a great opportunity for a solid website based classic ASP developer with a couple of years experience who is now looking to make the transition into .NET. My client is an international business to business media group with offices in London, New York and Shanghai. Based in the Hammersmith HQ in a newly built and dynamic office environment you will be creating database driven sites in classic ASP and over the coarse of the next year ASP.NET (Training will be provided as .NET development increases within the department) .
You will require good programming skills and be experienced in creating database-driven sites using classic ASP. Knowledge of SQL is also required, with MySQL being my clients preferred database. The agency create accessible web pages compliant with web standards using correct semantic mark-up and CSS layouts, knowledge in this area would be an advantage but serverside coding is where the priority lies.
Good communications skills are very important in this role as you will be interacting not only with the development Team but also with Account Managers and Creative’s on a daily basis to produce innovative and robust technical solutions. This is a great opportunity to learn from an excellent Senior developer and who enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge both in terms of hands on coding but also client interaction and technical writing.
