Web Content Specialist/Developer
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: 3+ months with our client
Rate: only on our W2's

Description:
Internal Customer Support:
- Key point of contact for web support, including prioritization, assignment, and resolution of support issues from content contributors and other internal customers.
- Prior experience with customer service supporting this type of service is desirable.
- Supporting Web content contributors in authoring and editing tasks using web content management system and database
Development:
- Testing and trouble-shooting of pre-release content and technology, including checking for style adherence.
- Advise and assist content authors on non-standard content, such as CGI forms and JavaScripts.
- Development and documentation of new processes, as necessary.
- Advise management on Web site architecture and technology, including such research as necessary.
Maintenance of Corporate Website:
- Providing, maintaining and documenting new Perl scripts, as well as maintaining, modifying, and documenting existing Perl scripts for both CGI and back-end applications.
- Providing, maintaining, and documenting new JavaScripts, as well as maintaining, modifying, and documenting existing JavaScripts.
- Publishing the Web site in routine and emergency situations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Documentation of new and existing processes.
- Generation and analysis of Web site traffic reports.
Required Skills:
- At least 2-3 years of Perl, HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience are required.
- Experience working with web content management systems and web site analytics tools. (Interwoven TeamSite and Onmiture Site Catalyst are a plus).
- Experience with ASP, COLDFUSION and/or Flash (one or more) would be desirable in supporting near term projects but not required.
- Strong interpersonal communications skills are required, in order to be an effective troubleshooter/support resource.
- Must be able to prioritize projects, some of which may be in direct conflict.
- Attention to detail is required, and must be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to meet shifting demands of an evolving Web site is required.
- Must have prior customer service/support experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate solid written and spoken communication in English.
- Degree in Web Design, Information Technology, Computer Science or Electronic Marketing…….Preferred.
