To take creative ownership of key accounts, develop and grow the accounts in conjunction with the account manager responsible for the client. The Art Director will both produce creative and oversee the quality of the work produced within the creative department so that it is at a consistent standard. This role requires the person to not only lead by example and inspire the other members of the creative team, but to act as an advocate for design through educating the rest of the organisation on the importance of strong creative conceptual work. Attention to detail is a pre-requisite.
broad outline of job
With a minimum of 5 years digital experience the Art Director will be a position which is both externally client facing and internally responsible for mentoring and developing the junior members of the creative team. You must be confident in front of clients as the role will require the Art Director to pitch ideas to both new and existing clients on a regular basis. The key aspect of the role is to generate original and innovative work with a high level of quality in a wide variety of styles. The role will also require the person to have a sound understanding of User Experience and Usability and will work very closely with both the account management team and UX department.

· To keep abreast of industry related issues, competitors work and general creative and design related matters and feed this back into the creative department.
